Understanding the New Broadcom VCF Download Token Process


Broadcom has recently updated the VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) product download process, introducing a token-based authentication system. This change enhances security and ensures only authorized users can access VCF software downloads. Support Portal


🔄 What's Changing?

Previously, VCF product downloads were accessible through public URLs. Now, each customer must use a unique, authenticated download token to access their entitled software. 🛠️ How It Works

  1. Generate a Download Token:

Note: Only users with the Product Administrator role can generate download tokens. If you don't see this option, contact your organization's User Administrator to assign you the necessary role.

  1. Update Download URLs:
    • Replace existing download URLs with the new format:

  1. Reconfigure Tools and Services:
